I didn't grow up playing with G.I. Joe toys. I distinctly remember as a pre-teen youngster thinking they were a bit...well...childish.
Being able to look down on my "foolish" peers who played with "ridiculous" action figures means that I now get an extra dose of hilarity from reading the Cracked rundown on "The 20 Stupidest GI Joe Vehicles Ever" (warning: not safe for children) (via Delicious popular bookmarks).
My favorite analysis, from the H.A.V.O.C ("Heavy Articulated Vehicle Ordnance Carrier"):
This one hits pretty much all the GI Joe vehicle high spots: Huge glass cockpits, a scarily exposed turret, and the ability to launch smaller, more comical vehicles. The only thing missing from this is about 12 dudes hanging off of it, but for all I know, they could be on the other side. And whatever you're about to say about playing "army" with friends while at school, diving away from rolled-up sock "hand-grenades", science fiction, Star Wars, Lego or kung-fu movies being childish...don't!
