Rodney points to an online survey by the Australian Democrats political party about God and Government.
It's a well-known fact that Australians don't talk about religion or politics, but it was worth my 3 to 5 minutes to complete the survey :-)
On a serious note - this is the second survey in a row that I've found tricky to answer...and here's a few questions that I had to think about:
There was lots more good stuff in there. Would make for some interesting conversations.
5. Should RE [standard Religious Education in public schools] be linked to a particular religious faith or should it be more about comparing differing religious beliefs?
6. Should classes in ethics be taught as an alternative to RE?
10. Should funding for school chaplains be redirected towards funding for professional counsellors?
11. Should school chaplains be subject to minimum educational qualifications regarding youth work?
My answers, and why, next time!
