North Korean Worries

What's happening in North Korea? I read last week that the North Korea Could Test Launch Missile, and then today that North Korea Says Danger of War 'Snowballing'.

Perhaps my bro could fill us in from the scene in South Korea. Is the kind of stuff that these news articles talk about really going to happen? Is this as bad as Iraq (in terms of U.S. demands on the regime and North Korean government stubbornness), but with nuclear weapons?

Danger of war? The truth is that these 2 countries are still technically at war, and the recent developments in the NK probably have more to do with their 'spin' machine than any real threat of conflict.

Recent NK history includes official bombing of Korean MPs in Myanmar, blowing up a Korean Airlines passenger airplane, attempts to assasinate the South's president and numerous tunnels dug under the DMZ for spying/invasion purposes. And apparently they make their money by selling hard drugs to places such as Oz (http://north-korea.narod.ru/aus_nk.htm).

On the other side the South with the US continue to cause the NK to fear attack with aggressive excercises and war simulations close to the DMZ.

It seems like it is all an interesting game and we'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds.

That's my 2 cents worth.
